Is it autumn already? That means HIS BROTHER’S SECRET (Superromance #1516, Sept 2008), the second book in my “Spotlight on Sentinel Pass” series, is now available. In fact, there’s a sale going on at eHarelquin.com and if you act fast, you can order HIS BROTHER’S SECRET for a discounted price and get a real deal on BABY BY CONTRACT.
The heroes of these books, Cooper and Shane, are best friends and so are the heroines, Libby and Jenna. I actually didn’t plan it that way, but when I met Jenna I knew she was the reason for Shane’s angst. And isn’t he gorgeous? The artist captured Shane’s “wounded hero” look perfectly. The only thing missing from this cover is the dog. Here’s Luca:

I’m delighted to tell you HIS BROTHER’S SECRET earned a 4.5-star review from Romantic Times BOOKreviews. Yeah!! Two in a row.
I just returned from the Romance Writers of America national conference in San Francisco. One of the focus groups I attended was all about online branding/marketing and book sales. It’s easy to see why this is important, given the cost of gas. I’ve had so many people tell me they’ve been to every store in town looking for my book and couldn’t find it. NO! Please, save your gas and money and time. Here’s a simple fact: most stores stock new Superromances around the 15th of the month, but they’re not obligated to get them out on that timeline. If you show up and the books aren’t on the shelves, finding the right person ask may be a huge challenge.
Also, some traditional markets (grocery chains and smaller bookstores) stopped carrying series romance due to the cost of space vs value of mark-up. Thankfully, WalMart and Target not only carry the books, they sell them at discounted prices. And we authors were delighted to learn that all “new” Barnes and Noble stores are going to carry series books in a dedicated section, but some older stores (like the one in my nearby town) don’t carry any series romance titles. If you’re not comfortable ordering books online from Amazon or, my personal choice, eHarlequin.com, call your local bookseller and ask him/her to order the book. Here’s the ISBN#: 978-0-373-71516-9. There’s no shipping charge and you can go to the store confident it will be there. Save gas and the environment!!!
But, if you’re a fan of online shopping, like I am, please use the link on my website to visit eHarlequin.com. There are some great buys and deals, like free shipping on Fridays, and you can find up-to-the-minute info on upcoming books, reader parties and community activities. And it’s a great place to hang-out with authors.
Have a wonderful autumn—my favorite season. See you in January when Spotlight on Sentinel Pass Book III, DADDY BY SURPRISE, comes out. (Insider secret: the BIG surprise is she isn’t pregnant.)
And please keep an eye on my blog for contests, giveaways (FUN, FREE BOOKMARKS!) and the latest news and nonsense.
Best always,
Debra
