Happy Mother’s Day!
And Happy 95th Birthday, Daisy Robson. (My mother.)
Can you imagine all the changes someone her age has seen? She’s the first person I gave my new release, BABY BY CONTRACT. She doesn’t read much anymore, but she read my name on the cover and smiled. That lifted my heart.
BABY BY CONTRACT is the first story in my “Spotlight on Sentinel Pass” series set in the Black Hills of South Dakota. I had so much fun writing and researching this series. The characters feel like old friends to me now, and the book has garnered some fabulous reviews:
“This is romance at it's best!” Gloria Gehres, The Romance Readers Connection; “An incredible story that I highly recommend.” ***** Detra Fitch, HUNTRESS REVIEWS; 4 ½ Stars – Top Pick – Romantic Times BOOKreviews.
I’m busy at work on book #3. These stories are scheduled for release every 4 months, starting in September with Jenna’s story, HIS BROTHER’S SECRET.
If you drop by my website, www.debrasalonen.com you’ll see a few changes:
#1: a new photo album. Check out the shots I took in the Black Hills.
#2: a new link on the Books page to eHarlequin.com. Any purchases you make through this are credited to me. Plus, it’s a fun way to shop -- all sorts of Free Book offers and discounts, and while you’re there, sign up for the eHarlequin 100,000 Book Challenge. You’re reading anyway, right? Why not let your passion for books help others? Here is the link to the challenge rules and introduction.
#3: an upcoming books page. You’ll be the first to know the title of my next book.
#4: a link to my MySpace page http://www.myspace.com/debsalonen HELP! I’m new to this virtual world and need friends!
#5: CONTESTS! All month, I’ll be giving away fun little prizes I picked up on my travels to South Dakota. Just pop into my blog and see what’s up. http://debrasalonen.com/blog/
And since this is May, I’m pleased to help promote Brenda Novak’s auction to raise money for Juvenile Diabetes Research www.brendanovak.com. You’ll find my “You Can Go Home Again” basket #1011139 under the Gift Basket header. Go, Jacks! (You’ll understand when you see the items.) Remember: it’s never too early to start your Christmas shopping – and support a worthwhile cause!
Happy reading!
Deb
